HIV/AIDs and ARVs in Sub-Saharan Africa

HIV/AIDs are a big issue that is happening all around. It is also and issue that is on the up rise. Worldwide there are 37 million people living with HIV. About 2.6 million are under the age of 15. I'm going to talk about Sub-Saharan. In Sub-Saharan in 2013 had 24.7 million people living with HIV, 4.7% adult prevalence, 1.5 million new HIV infections, 1.1 million AIDs-related deaths and only 39% were receiving ARVs. In 2014 two-thirds of the people 25.8 million are living with HIV. 88% of those people are children. 1.4 million had been newly infected. It is estimated that 790,000 adults and children have died of AIDs. That is about 66% of the world AIDs deaths for 2014. As you can see the numbers has increased just over a year. There has to be something that can help with the amount of outbreak that is happening. People may think that Africa is the only country with the HIV.AIDs outbreak; but other places are becoming worse. It is time to see what can be done to stop this outbreak

Traveling around Africa could be a learning yet fun experience. Africa is known for not only its wildlife, but dramatic landscapes, different cultures and amazing beaches. The first method is called the Overland Africa Safari Tours. This is a good option if you do not want to travel on your own. This method has short-term travelers who was to see Africa hassle-free. This method is however expensive. Food, Transportation, and accommodation are all included. For seven days the all-inclusive tours start at about 750 US dollars and go to 6000 dollars for a 63-day Kenya to Cape Town tour.

The second method is called the Baz Bus. This is a company that is located in South Africa. This bus usually travels the trail. What is interesting about this method is you can choose your route and buy the ticket for it. This bus is what they call a hop-on hop-off type of bus.

There are many other way that you can travel around Africa such as: Public Buses, Minivans, Hitchhiking, and Car Hire. You can learn more about these ways of transportation at this site.

Technology in Africa

Africa is evolving more and more. There are technology companies who want to invest in Africa. The sub-Saharan, Africa is growing quickly. They are have remarkable growth in mobile phones, better internet access and an increase on education.  According to BBC, "change is happening, and more people have more disposable income to spend.

According to the site they believe that while doing research; it should be done on the grounds of Africa. Because they believe it should be done of African grounds; that is the reason they set up and it an investment. So they hired people from all over including people of the African origin. They believe that by doing research from a different area; that they will miss the whole point of their research.

This site goes into more depth about the research that was done and how they went about doing it.

When you visit restaurants in Africa on this site called africa.com it gives you a rating form bronze, gold and platinum. Which is different from our rating systems we go from 1 star to 5 stars. On this site you can choose from one of the ratings to view what type of restaurant you would like to visit. For me to use as an example I chose the rating gold. It gives you a list of restaurants that are on the gold rating. It also gives you the website you can visit. There are many restaurants on the gold list about 40 pages.

Also on this site it gives you about three chefs and what they call the African.com's Global Culinary Council. On this council there is Stephen Billingham, Benny Masekwameng and Richard Harden.

Chef Stephen Billingham is the President of the South African Chefs Association. He is also the director of a culinary arts school (HTA) and the school under his direction has won 12 culinary competitions in South Africa.  You can learn more about his qualifications on africa.com or at this site called CHS.
